The Church Planting Residency is a one-year church planter training program. It has been designed for called and qualified church planters to complete prior to full-time church planting work. The Bethlehem Church Planting Residency aims to equip the resident for church planting by instilling in him the biblical convictions of Bethlehem’s Mission and Elder Affirmation of Faith, and by providing opportunities to observe how those convictions are lived out in the manifold life of the local church. The program is made up of several components: supervised ministry, seminars, a mentoring and coaching relationship, and a year-end assessment and evaluation.
Applicants are required to submit a completed application with personal and pastoral references. Deadlines for application are due either September 15 (for January 1 start date) or March 1 (for August 1 start date). Preference will be given to applicants with pastoral ministry experience and to those who have completed a Master of Divinity or similar theological degree program.
To apply for the Bethlehem Church Planter Residency Program, fill out the online application, or email email@example.com to request an application. Completed applications and/or questions should be directed to the Church Planting department at the church.
