The Operations Director of Camp Arnes is responsible to provide the day-to-day administration of onsite facilities operation, ensuring the organization runs smoothly and effectively.
The qualified person must have previous leadership experience as they will hire, train and manage staff and volunteers, interact with guests, campers and staff in a professional manner and agree with the Camp Arnes Mission Statement, Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith. They must have knowledge of industry standards and government regulations. Drinking/waste water certification and trades experience is preferred. A mature personal commitment to Jesus Christ must be evident and a willingness to learn, grow and create a team environment is essential. Previous experience with camps, operational management, computer and software skills is an asset.
The Operations Director will develop and manage the budget for all onsite areas including: maintenance, food services, corrals, pool facility, camp site human resources and camp site purchases. Oversee and help maintain the appearance of all buildings/grounds and identify and advise on facility improvements and equipment needs.
Administration & Organizational Leadership:
Modelling and upholding strong Christian character in yourself and the staff is fundamental. Help ensure that Camp Arnes is following all guidelines set out by the Manitoba Camping Association, Workplace Health and Safety Standards and comply to all government regulations for drinking water, waste water and pool operations.
This position is responsible to monitor and provide direct leadership and training in all areas onsite including but not limited to Food Services, Housekeeping, Indoor Pool, Corrals/Animals, Office Operations and Volunteer Services.
