Classification: Part time contractor: approx. 6 hours weekly or as assigned
Wage: $20 / hr
Accommodation : Private 2 bedroom trailer home on Camp Douglas Property, Roberts Creek, BC. Rent charged at $1500 per month.

Camp Douglas is seeking a friendly, organized person with the ability to perform routine property maintenance and with strong interpersonal communication skills.
We are looking for someone who wholeheartedly supports the values and mission of Camp Douglas, including our Christian ethos and connection with the Presbyterian Church of Canada.
The On-site Caretaker:
is a responsible, self-motivated individual who takes care of the Camp Douglas property throughout the year.
can perform routine property maintenance and janitorial tasks.
has flexibility to accommodate and support the Camp Douglas summer camp ministry.
enjoys being a point-person for the camp when the summer programme is not in session, welcoming and providing support for rental groups and retreats.
The On-site Caretaker will:
carry out in-person surveys of the Camp Douglas property throughout the week and identify and respond to any maintenance issues.
provide support to rental groups and retreats, including planning, orientation and janitorial tasks.
work with the facility working group and Camp Committee to identify, plan and carry out larger property maintenance tasks.
This role reports to the Executive Director, with regular communication with the Administrator and the Facilities Working Group Chair. Minimum age requirement: 19+. Appointment to this position is subject to a Criminal Record Check.
As part of this job, the Caretaker may rent a two-bedroom trailer home on the Camp Douglas property for $1500 per month, which includes laundry facilities and the cost of most utilities. As is the case with the Camp Douglas property as a whole, no smoking, non-medicinal drug use or pets are permitted. Tenants must adhere to rental terms and conditions – more information can be provided upon request.
