Ensure that the preaching and teaching of the word of God is grounded in the scripture and gospel, and is relatable, anointed, and engaging. It is the Senior Pastor’s role to ensure our exposition of the word impacts lives.
Ensure that the ministerial and administrative team of the church is competent, organized, on task, and impactful. It is the Senior Pastor’s responsibility to make sure the vision for the church and the needs of our congregation are ably met and facilitated by the paid and volunteer staff.
It is expected that the Senior Pastor will have a clear vision for how the church should function and what its priorities should be. It is expected that the Senior Pastor will clearly communicate the vision and priorities, organize around these priorities, and solidify the priorities into the life of the church.
It is expected that the church, in line with the vision being pursued by the Senior Pastor, is in good health. Evidence of health includes such things as financial health, strong retention of attendees, outward focus and ministries, baptisms, strong sense of community and gathering, new leaders and ministries being raised up.
It is expected that the Senior Pastor be exemplary in behaviour, faith, family, integrity, prayer, evangelism, and interpersonal skills.
The Senior Pastor, along with the Board of Deacons, ensures the staff are remunerated, cared for, and empowered for their ministry.
