Our downtown Mandarin ministry is comprised of 3 congregations (Sunday morning, Sunday afternoon, Wednesday evening) averaging over 230 adults and 40 children. The congregations’ demographic runs the spectrum from infants to seniors, with a focus on students, scholars, families, and restaurant and factory workers.
Our location in the heart of the downtown Spadina & Dundas Chinatown is within walking distance of several high schools, college and university campuses (e.g. Ryerson, OCAD, George Brown, and U of T) and provides tremendous opportunities for ministry to students and new immigrants.
Candidates must be in agreement with the articles of faith and the policy guidelines of the AGC, and should exhibit:
1. Passion to reach out to new friends, to reach the lost, and a willingness to make home visits, keeping an attitude of carrying others’ burdens and joys as his own.
2. Willingness to serve as a role model for believers of Christ, being hard-working, earnest, and responsible, putting the needs of the body of Christ and God’s glory above his own.
3. An attitude of seeking God, learning from the Bible, and sharing God’s love.
