The Pastor of Youth and Family Ministries will serve as the primary community builder for children, youth, college aged students, and their families at Christ Church, working closely with our pastors, staff and volunteers to develop Compassionate Christian Communities that enable our children, youth and young adults to grow as followers of Jesus.
This Pastor will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the vitality of ongoing ministries through Sunday School programs, weekly youth programs, retreats and other events as well as identifying areas for growth and development. He/she will work under the supervision of the Senior Pastor and be responsible for supervising support staff and volunteers.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated, mature Christian with a love for children and youth. He/she will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in these ministry areas, and be a collaborative team player. The candidate will also possess experience in leadership with oversight of a team of staff and/or volunteers. This candidate will also be committed to the mission and vision of Christ Church, and compatible with the Covenant denomination (covchurch.org).
This will be a full-time position with one staff directly reporting and many volunteers who also receive direction from him/her.
