COTC is looking for a catalytic, relational, flexible and energetic priest to serve as an associate rector in our young and growing parish. We are nearly three years old and have approximately 85 households in our community, with a large number of families with young children. Our vision is to announce, demonstrate, and embody the good news of God’s kingdom as community in and for Northeast Austin, a rapidly changing part of the city’s urban core.
We desire to press in to the life of the triune God and to reach out for the good of the world in the name of Jesus. Our corporate life is center around the values of celebration, transformation, consolation, and participation. As our parish is still developing this role would require flexibility and comfort in a changing and collaborative environment. This person would potentially have areas of responsibility in the arenas of spiritual formation and community, along with some operations and logistical support, as well as partnering with the rector in pastoral care, preaching, and leading liturgically. The ability to cheerful serve, to work collaboratively, and to generate and execute upon new ideas are a must.
Assist the Rector in the pastoral leadership of the parish, pastoral care of the parish, the education and equipping of members for life and ministry, and the mobilization of the church in mission.

Education and Equipping
The candidate will have a seminary degree and will already be or will be willing to pursue ordination in the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA) within the Churches for the Sake of Others (C4SO) diocese. The candidate will be a strong addition to COTC’s leadership team who can contribute creative ideas and wisdom, and contribute constructively to the overall vision, direction and tone of the church.The candidate will be effective at building teams, leading teams and serving as part of a team. They will be at home in a collaborative and changing environment as our parish continues to grow and develop. The candidate will be able to work and adapt to cross-cultural situations and environments, exercising servant leadership and humility. The candidate will maintain a personal and professional lifestyle of high Christian character.
