Children, Youth and Family Ministries Assistant Pastor Full Time Part Time

The EBC Children, Youth and Family Ministries Assistant Pastor will work closely with the Interim Pastor, Elders and Christian Nurture Board in planning and implementing ministries for children, youth and families and other ministry opportunities depending experience.   Will be responsible to the Interim Pastor on behalf of the Board of Elders and Chair of Nurture Board, in pursuit of the church’s mission of “winning and building passionate, life-long followers of Jesus Christ.”

Hours and Remuneration

This is a paid 1 year contract position for 10 -20 hours per week, depending on availability, beginning August 1, 2022, or ASAP.   There will be a 3 month probationary period and the contract may also be renewed following review and assessment.

Remuneration is negotiable according to qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supporting families in their role as primary disciplers of their children and youth by teaching and mentoring them in a life of following Christ.
• Planning, leading and participating in the implementation of children, youth and family’s ministry programs, in collaboration with church leaders and volunteers in order to nurture spiritual growth among children, youth and families.
• Participation in Sunday morning worship services related to experience and ability
• Related administrative tasks and other duties or ministry activities as assigned or mutually agreed upon
• Attending meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• A deep, growing personal faith and testimony in Jesus Christ
• Agreement with the NAB Baptist Statement of Faith
• Committed to living and serving in a manner consistent with the standards set forth in Scripture for leadership (cf. 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9)
• Ongoing or recently completed Christian Education or Theological studies.
• Some experience in leading and implementing children, youth and family ministries and a passion to see people come to a committed relationship with Jesus
• Capacity to work as a teachable team player and to maintain healthy relationships with staff, volunteers and parents.
• Ability to multitask and have good organizational skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours
