We are looking to fill this role ASAP / Fall of 2018
Key Skill Sets / Qualities Desired in Candidate:
Eucharist Church is looking for a candidate who embodies the Eucharist Church vision/culture of hospitality, has the mindset, approach, and experience of a ministry developer, and who has the gifts and abilities to encourage and empower others into leadership and ministry.
We are looking for someone who resonates with our theological emphases rooted in the Anglican tradition and our ministry philosophy; we’re looking for someone who intuitively grasps our church’s vision and who can immediately see how they can offer value by developing underdeveloped areas of ministry. We’re looking for a leader who has the proven capacity to build relationally into our church’s vision of belonging and care. Overall, we’re looking more for someone who can see the potential in others to do ministry rather than someone who merely does it oneself. The candidate we’re looking for will be deeply relational, pastoral in approach, a good theological thinker who is capable of teaching/catechizing, someone who has administrative and organizational capacity, and a team player who is humble in character and desires to work in a high communication context. In particular, we’re looking for a candidate who has some mixture of the following Strengthsfinders qualities: Developer, Activator, Woo, Empathy, Relator
As a staff/team, we are collaborative, engaged, and committed to continually improving as we serve our mission. None of us are on an island – we trust each other to lend a hand when we’re stuck; we seek to work as a team, while owning our personal responsibilities with maturity. We seek to cultivate an “ego-free” culture in which credit for what goes well goes to God, responsibility for what doesn’t go well is quickly owned (without shame), and the mission we’re about is the priority. We value speaking the truth (in love) and welcome a degree of creative conflict (over ideas / strategies) in order to make sure we come to the best possible ideas. We seek feedback and are always in a posture of learning. For more on our team culture visit our website page: eucharistSF.org/jobs.
Education: Masters of Divinity or comparable
