Pastor Position WHO WE ARE Our Church We are a multigenerational, Bible believing, church that has a mix of rural and urban adherents, many of whom have grown up in this church body, some families spanning 70+ years. Our church body continues to have new attendees added regularly. Within the body there is a broad spectrum of biblical knowledge and talent that we have every intention of seeking to expand through the process of disciple-making. We are currently in the process of working through the difficult journey of seeking healing as a body. The last number of years have held many ups and downs but together we are on a journey of working towards better unity. We gather in a substantially sized building. Sometimes this space can feel underutilized, however we see it as having huge potential for growth as we work on our ministry and outreach. Our future looks bright due to the large population of young children and families attending. We have a habit of getting together regularly to enjoy each others company in various forms. Our Community Ponoka is a welcoming small town in central Alberta with an approximate population of 7500. It offers a blend of rural charm and modern conveniences. It has direct access to the Highway 2 Corridor and is 45 minutes away from the Edmonton International Airport. For outdoor enthusiasts there are ample recreational options such as walking trails and parks as well as facilities like the Ponoka Arena Complex and a public swimming pool. Ponoka is also known for its strong agricultural roots and the annual Ponoka Stampede, one of Canada’s largest rodeo events.
