A member of ECO since 2018, the church is eagerly meeting the challenge of its current transition period as Dr. Rusty Douglas retires after 22 years of faithful service. To that end, FPC has established a Pastor Nominating Team to work closely with the Session as the search for a new senior pastor begins. The church is fervently praying for an individual who will help lead our congregation and community into the future while discerning Christ’s plan for FPC as we look to grow God’s kingdom both here and abroad. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
-Provide visionary leadership in a servant leader approach.
-Masterfully communicate the Word of God with the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
-Lead and coordinate worship services and administer Sacraments.
-Lead our staff and Session in a collaborative manner to plan and successfully implement our mission of “equipping people to pursue and share gospel-driven lives”.
-Participate in pastoral care, showing love, compassion, and encouragement.
-Take an active role in community outreach.
-Participate in our ECO Presbytery of the South and other events.
We have a FPC Profile that can be shared with interested and qualified applicants.
