Position Summary: The Director of Kid’s Ministry provides vision, strategy, and leadership for Greenwood’s children (birth-4th grade) and their families, consistent with Greenwood’s Vision and Values. They will lead a teaching strategy that points children to saving faith in Jesus and to build their faith. The Director of Kid’s Ministry implements a Jesus-centered Kid’s Ministry in a fun, loving, gospel-focused environment with trained and equipped leaders.

Required Responsibilities Casts vision for Kid’s Ministry consistent with Greenwood vision and values. Executes, implements, and oversees all aspects of Weekend Kid’s Ministry, Summer Ministry, Special Needs, and weekly Kids Care. Oversees creating and implementing a theologically weighted curriculum for teaching children, birth-5th grade, with innovative and age-appropriate approaches. Determines and articulates educational goals for each grade level. Utilizes a team model of ministry that recruits, trains, and supervises Kid’s Ministry leaders. Creates a healthy, family-friendly approach to ministry that listens to parents, equips them to disciple their children, and engages them with one another through innovative connecting points. Develops strategy and implements appropriate events (i.e., appreciation events, connecting activities, training opportunities, milestone events) that build on Greenwood’s vision for family ministry. Creates and oversees annual goals and strategy of Kid’s Ministry overall, including budget development and oversight. Oversees and develops team leaders/staff through regular evaluation and support. Acts as point of contact for all outside camps and other activities GCC hosts each summer. Additional duties as directed by supervisor.
