Youth Outreach Pastor Full Time

Job Title: Youth Outreach Pastor
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Primary Role: Provide leadership, alignment, and strategy to help as many children and students to take their next steps towards becoming fully devoted followers of Christ.

Hours: 40 hrs

Hillside Church in Dartmouth Nova Scotia is seeking a full-time (40 hr) Youth Outreach Pastor.
The Pastor will oversee all our programming for youth aged 12 to 19, oversee the outreach plan for our schools, and will also oversee a portfolio that matches their giftings. This could be overseeing the Worship/Tech Ministries or overseeing the Hillside Kids Ministry.

Key Responsibilities:

Youth (50%)
·      Lead the coordination and facilitation of engaging weekly youth group
·      Recruit, train, and lead a group of student and adult leaders
·      Lead outreach programs at local high school (weekly lunch program/student fellowship)
·      Love the students. Pastor and engage in their lives
·      Help to integrate the student ministry into the overall ministry of the church
·      Partner with parents for the effective discipleship of their teens
·      Attend conferences with youth once or twice per year

Option 1: Worship Ministries (40%)
·      Planning and leading all aspects related to music for services
·      Recruiting and training musicians & technical team members
·      Services and events coordination

Option 2:  Hillside Kids (40%)
·      Lead and assist ministry leaders regarding curriculum, leader recruitment and development, scheduling, and encouragement
·      Recruit, train, background check, and schedule Nursery volunteers
·      Participate on teaching rotation (2 or 3 times a month)

Ministry Administration (10%)
·      Attend staff meetings
·      Manage Hillside Social Media
·      Manage Hillside Youth budgets
