Job Description:
Hope Community Church (HCC) in Sherbrooke, Quebec, is actively seeking a full time
Lead Pastor. The Lead Pastor will work in conjunction with the Pastoral team,
Leadership Team and Ministry Team Leaders in the implementation of our church’s
mission to be Jesus’s hands and feet.

The pastor will be Biblically rooted, Holy Spirit led both in ministry generally and to
Quebec specifically, and be aptly equipped to lead a 300-person congregation. The
character of the pastor will be God honouring, full of spiritual fruit and integrity. The
pastor’s life will be reflective of a passionate, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Prayer, Teaching, Leadership, Evangelism, Discipleship, Shepherding, Pastoral Care
and Counseling.

Church Description:
HCC is situated in Lennoxville, a bilingual borough of Sherbrooke, Quebec. Our
services are held in English, yet French is a major part of everyday life in the
surrounding culture.

Hope Community Church, formerly known as Huntingville Community Church, moved
from Huntingville to Lennoxville in 2012. The move to Lennoxville was made to acquire
a larger facility in a strategic and visible location. HCC, now functionally a
non-denominational church, has roots in the Plymouth Brethren movement.

Our vision, as followers of Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit, is to be
upward-focused – continually growing in maturity and obedience to our Lord. We also
desire to be outward-focused – serving our neighbours and earning a reputation
throughout the Eastern Townships community for demonstrating the love of God in
practical ways.
