Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and creative leader to serve as our Part-Time Worship Director. This individual will lead, develop, and implement a comprehensive worship ministry that embraces music, media, and various art forms to cultivate an engaging and worshipful environment. The ideal candidate will have strong musical talent, proven leadership skills, and a heart for God that inspires others to grow in their relationship with Christ.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Weekly Worship Gatherings: Plan, prepare, and lead God-centered worship experiences (in person and online) that connect people to God, the Gospel, and the weekly sermon theme.
Team Development & Discipleship: Recruit, train, and disciple worship ministry members, including vocalists, instrumentalists, sound technicians, and media operators.
Service Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with church staff to develop weekly worship sets, coordinate tech teams, and ensure smooth execution of worship services and special events.
Technical Oversight: This position oversees the technical elements of worship services, including live streaming, sound equipment, and audio mixing. Familiarity with Final Cut Pro is a plus.
Creative Arts Integration: Implement a variety of media and artistic elements to enhance worship experiences and cultivate an environment of worship throughout the week.
Worship as a Lifestyle: Lead the congregation to embrace worship as a lifestyle that extends beyond music into every aspect of life.
Budget Management: Oversee the worship arts department budget, ensuring responsible and strategic use of resources.
Staff Collaboration: Actively participate in staff meetings and church-wide initiatives, fostering a culture of teamwork, encouragement, and shared mission.
Qualifications & Skills
Spiritual Maturity: A heart for God demonstrated by an authentic, personal, and reproducible walk with God, evidenced by a balanced life, a hunger for the Scriptures, and a commitment to prayer.
Musical Talent: Skilled vocalist and musician with experience leading worship and developing worship teams using a variety of sounds and instrumentation.
Creative Visionary: Ability to envision, develop, and implement compelling worship experiences aligned with the church’s ministry philosophy.
Leadership Ability: Strong leadership skills with a track record of attracting, retaining, and developing volunteers and team members.
Effective Communicator: Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members and congregants.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of sound equipment and audio mixing is preferred. Experience with Live Streaming and Final Cut Pro is an asset.
Innovative Mindset: Willingness to explore new ways to make worship relevant and accessible to people from all generations, including those not currently engaged in a Christian community.
Formal Musical Training: Strongly desired but not required.

Reporting Structure
The Worship Director reports directly to the Lead Pastor.
Position Details
Status: Part-time
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Compensation: Commensurate with experience and qualifications. Annual Salary Range of $22,000-30,000.
