JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is a paid position with Lighthouse Church, focused on Lighthouse’s mission of helping people value Jesus above all and live out his mission in all. The primary focus of this role is to oversee the musical worship of Lighthouse and to proactively develop a God glorifying worship service that matches our mission and culture. We believe our musical worship should include a dynamic of gospel-centered, theologically-rich songs from modern to ancient, in a singable style for a congregation, that remains aesthetically beautiful and joyful. The worship leader will work with the pastoral staff who develop the weekly worship format/liturgy.
The primary functions of this role are to organize and lead a team on Sunday mornings in the musical worship component of the service and oversee weekly development, scheduling, auditioning, and training of volunteers in music leadership and sound.
A secondary focus is the implementation of new church technologies for a growing church and development of new worship gatherings.
This role will require skills in music, worship leadership, management, church worship technologies, administration, and relationship building. The successful applicant will need to be flexible and willing to serve in a variety of ways among the rest of the Lighthouse staff team.
