Our story began 19 years ago. Starting as a small church plant in a local city, our church has held onto its organic nature despite our growth to over 800 each week. At our root we are genuine and real in our pursuit of Jesus. The New Hope family reflects the diversity of our community. We want to work hard, play hard, pray hard, laugh hard and love deeply!
– Start Date: TBD (2022)
– Full Time: This position is 40 hours/week.
– Compensation: Salary starting to be determined by experience. Competitive market rates offered.
– Vacation: 3 Weeks/Year

-Work in partnership with the Executive Pastoral Staff in discipleship and pastoral care
-Assist with the leadership, strategy and organization of the ministry at New Hope
-Work with existing teaching team on sermons, leadership training, seminars and more
-Cultivate a missional culture in our local context
-Strategically organize and leverage the pastoral giftings of the whole church
-Recruit, train and equip teams to care for the pastoral needs of the church
-Utilize and educate volunteers and congregants about New Hope Church’s Pastoral care tools (New Hope Prevention/Crisis Plan, Seven Steps to Freedom in Christ)
-Provide pre-engagement, pre-marital and marital counselling
-Lead and further develop New Hope’s mentorship program
-Build a network and foster relationships locally with counsellors, social workers, doctors, etc.
-Pastor families through the different seasons of life (ie. Weddings, funerals, baptisms)
-Oversee and organize the prayer ministry of New Hope Church
-Overseeing the distribution of the pastoral care fund.
-Help to connect new families/individuals to New Hopes culture and ministry opportunities
Education & Qualifications
– A MDiv and/or some theological education is preferred
– At least 5 years of church leadership experience.
