Many new Canadians find themselves on a difficult journey and are searching for healing, friendship, and spiritual meaning. Description of the Position: This position is part of the NSAC Pastoral Staff Team and will involve other pastoral duties from time to time. This position will enable NSAC to further grow relationships with new Canadians, develop new programs to assist them with their settlement needs, and build bridges for leading new Canadians to Jesus and discipling them. This pastoral position requires a visionary leader who is able to discern where God is at work, boldly connect with people from all sorts of backgrounds, and effectively plan and run ministry programs to support the care and discipleship of New Canadians. Ideal candidates would have a deep love for Jesus, strong pastoral and leadership skills, and their own immigrant story.
Primary Responsibilities: This position involves connecting with people, planning and implementing ministry programs, and building volunteer teams to staff programs and care for new Canadians. All of these responsibilities are designed with the goal of leading new Canadians to Jesus and discipling them. The goal of a New Canadian Ministry is not to function independently but to liaise and integrate with the other ministries and congregation of NSAC.
Hours and Compensation: This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week, including some evening and weekend work. Compensation is dependent upon experience.

Strong theological background.
Experience with and passion for teaching the Christian story to people from other spiritual backgrounds.
Able to identify, equip, and release volunteers; is a collaborative leader; able to work with other pastors and staff members.
Possesses intercultural fluency and embraces a multi-cultural ministry environment.
Qualifications for this Position:
Bachelor Degree in biblical studies or theology, or equivalent.
2 years of experience in Church Ministry leadership.
Able to be licensed with the Christian & Missionary Alliance.
Able to sign NSAC Leadership agreement.
Clear Criminal Record Check for work with Vulnerable Sector.
