Job Description: MEDIA DIRECTOR
Purpose of the Job:
• To oversee the in-person and online broadcast. Manage all aspects of Northside’s production system – development, operation, and maintenance.
Experience and Knowledge:
One (1) year experience in video production or broadcast environment
Good understanding of audio, video, and lighting systems, equipment, and
Proficiency in use of Mac computers and software
Familiarity with ProPresenter 6, Blackmagic, Adobe Creative, Planning center,
preferred but not required
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
Relational and team-building skills required
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Oversee all audio visual needs
• Manage all audio visual equipment and current updates
Oversee the maintenance, and operation of all A/V/L equipment on campus
Develop detailed knowledge of operation and integration of all equipment
Train and equip both staff and volunteers to ensure successful operation of equipment in various rooms and settings
Record and produce video content (testimonies, pre recorded services/ messages, promotional materials, mission opportunities, etc… )
Quickly identify problems and make “on the spot” appropriate fixes (short term solutions); evaluate, diagnose and make proper repair/replacement for equipment on an on going basis (long term solution) in collaboration with the worship pastor.
• Recruit, schedule, and shepherd media ministry volunteers.
Provide oversight, encouragement, care and training to those who volunteer in the media ministry
Recruit and develop new volunteers in the media ministry
• Work to continuously improve the spiritual focus and professionalism of those involved in the media ministry
Supervise and coordinate A/V/L and broadcast personnel for all worship services and special events.
Provide all weekly audio needs campus wide (weddings, funerals, meetings, etc)
Work closely with the worship pastor on budget needs and purchases for the media ministry, including recommendations of equipment maintenance and updates.
Serve as a resource between media ministry and other ministries needing AVL.
Prepare platform for all rehearsals, weekly services, productions, and events.
Edit and maintain all on screen content (pro presenter) and livestream.
Attend weekly meetings as needed

Work with worship pastor to plan, submit, administer and control an annual budget for the media ministry.
Control spending in area of responsibility in a manner that is consistent with the churches mission and policy.
