Worship Leader Part Time

Worship leader at Oakridge Church:
-Lead our congregation in 3 (or 4) worship songs each Sunday service by playing the piano and singing.   We generally sing 2 contemporary worship songs and 1 popular hymn.

-Service begins at 10:30 and ends around 11:45.  Arrive 15 minutes earlier (at least) at 10:15 to get ready and play a prelude.

-Compensation is for the 1 and a half hours at Sun worship service from 10:15 am to 11:45 am.  And 1 hour during the week for prayer time, putting lyrics onto service slide deck, and music/ spiritual preparation.
50 dollars x 1.5 = 75 for Sunday service
25 dollars x 1 hour = $ 25 for during the week prep
Total: Weekly pay is 125 dollars

The worship leader will engage with and build up the body of the church as an active member by :
-seeking to make connections with members during and beyond the Sunday worship service
-building up our community life in worship
-supporting the vision, mission, and leaders of the church
-work under the guidance of, and report to, the church pastor.

We are seeking a RELATIONAL, Spirit-seeking layperson who loves singing unto the Lord and has a heart to build up the church in worship.

-We are a small church with much potential… God is at work, forming disciples through Word and Spirit for His Kingdom glory.

-If the worship leader is to lead, he/she must lead by example, and his/her life, therefore, must exemplify that of the true worshiper. As with all leaders in the body of Christ, his/her leadership must first be spiritual leadership. He/she must be the first to bow before God in humility and exhibit willingness for accountability.
