For more than three decades, God has faithfully led Port Moody Pacific Grace MB Church. Through His grace, we have grown into a healthy, multi-generational, bilingual church committed to making disciples and serving our community.
We are prayerfully seeking the next shepherd God is calling to lead our church into a new season of ministry. We are not simply looking for someone to fill a position—we are looking for a pastor who will join us in discerning God’s direction, equipping His people, and building on the strong foundation He has already established.

About Our Church
Port Moody Pacific Grace MB Church (PMPGMBC) is a bilingual (Cantonese & English), multi-generational evangelical church affiliated with the Mennonite Brethren Conference of British Columbia. Located in the beautiful Tri-Cities area of Metro Vancouver, we are committed to glorifying God by making disciples, serving our neighbours, and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.

Who We’re Looking For
We are prayerfully seeking a pastor who demonstrates:
• A clear calling to pastoral ministry, spiritual maturity, and a servant-hearted leadership style.
• A Master of Divinity (MDiv) or equivalent theological degree from an accredited seminary.
• Ordained Reverend.
• Agreement with the doctrine, beliefs, and practices of the Mennonite Brethren Conference and eligibility for credentialing with the BC Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.
• A solid track record of shepherding a medium-sized (300–400 people) congregation in a multi-generational or bilingual church. Experience in North America is an asset.
• Proven ability to provide spiritual leadership, preach and teach God’s Word, develop leaders, and work collaboratively with the Deacon Board, staff, and lay leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to foster unity, build relationships, and communicate effectively across different cultures, generations, and ministry contexts.
• Experience collaborating in church administration, governance, and financial stewardship alongside church leaders and administrative staff.
• A visionary passion for expanding God’s Kingdom by developing ministries, mobilizing God’s people, and empowering lay leaders and volunteers.
• Proficiency in both Cantonese and English, with the ability to minister effectively across both congregations.

Our Leadership Culture

Our Lead Pastor will serve alongside a supportive Deacon Board, dedicated pastoral staff, committed ministry leaders, and faithful volunteers who value prayer, humility, collaboration, and mutual encouragement.
We believe the role of the Lead Pastor is not to carry every ministry personally, but to shepherd God’s people, equip leaders, and guide the church toward God’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
As our Full-Time Lead Pastor, you will work collaboratively with the Deacon Board, pastoral staff, and ministry leaders to provide spiritual leadership, pastoral oversight, and strategic direction for the life and ministry of the church.
Spiritual Leadership
• Provide Christ-centered spiritual leadership and shepherding for the church.
• Lead the church in pursuing God’s mission and vision while fostering a culture of prayer, discipleship, and evangelism.
Preaching & Teaching
• Provide biblically faithful, Christ-centred, and engaging preaching and teaching.
• Provide oversight for the teaching ministry of the church, ensuring sound biblical doctrine.
Leadership Development
• Lead, mentor, and encourage the pastoral staff, Church Board, ministry leaders, and volunteers.
• Equip leaders and foster a healthy, collaborative ministry culture.
Vision & Organizational Leadership
• Provide strategic leadership for the church’s ministries and operations in alignment with the church’s mission and vision.
• Guide ministry planning and coordination across the Cantonese, English, and Children’s Ministries.
• Provide leadership and oversight for the church’s administration, governance, and financial stewardship in collaboration with the Deacon Board and administrative staff.
• Provide leadership and support to the church administrative staff to ensure effective church operations.
Pastoral Care
• Provide pastoral care through visitation, prayer, counselling, and encouragement.
• Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other pastoral ministries as appropriate.
Community & Denominational Engagement
• Foster unity across the church and build relationships within the local community and the Mennonite Brethren Conference.
