Skinder Financial Services Inc. | Operations Manager
Skinder Financial Services Inc. (“SFSI”) is looking for an Operations Manager 20-30 hours/week with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time permanent position.
About Skinder Financial
SFSI is a boutique Financial Advisory firm based in Yaletown, Vancouver, BC. We are a small but dynamic, fast-paced firm that focuses on providing support and advisory services to early and growth stage companies. We work within the market but are driven by values-based principles often external to the market. These realities require creative yet rooted thinkers who are able to do more than just mindlessly fulfill a job description.
We are looking for a highly-organized individual to join SFSI in an operational capacity. A strong applicant will have a knack for problem-solving, enjoy working with systems and with “numbers”, have reasonable IT fluency with the Microsoft Office suite and basic web applications, and have a command of the English language.
Ideally, candidates will also have previous experience in the financial sector liaising with business professionals, investors, and clients, however, this is not required. We are looking to hire a relational, creative, and self-motivated individual able to work independently as well as at times in teams.
The small size of SFSI allows the Operations Manager to take part and therefore gain invaluable experience in a wide range of areas.
The primary functions of the operations manager are to:
This is initially a part-time contract position that could quickly build to a full-time employee position with benefits in 3-6 months. It requires physical presence in the office at least 2-3 days per week with some flexibility.
Starting salary is commensurate with experience, with room to grow. (~$20-25/hr)
Please send a cover letter and resume to Phil Skinder at email@example.com. A LinkedIn profile is also highly encouraged.
The application deadline is Friday, March 29, 2019, however, applications will be processed as they come in, so early submissions are highly encouraged.
