Southside Community Church and Re:Soul Youth Centre in Milton are looking for a dynamic individual that can plan, implement and engage in youth activities and ministry within both a church and community environment. This is a full-time partnership position.
I. Southside Community Church
Responsibilities of the Youth Pastor will include overseeing the “Beloved” youth program (casting vision, implementing programs, retreats and curriculum), running a concurrent “youth church” on Sunday mornings, building relationships and the discipleship of youth, training and overseeing a volunteer team, assisting leaders of various ministries, assisting the Lead Pastor when necessary and working cooperatively with Milton area ministries, most specifically Re:Soul Youth Centre.
II. Re:Soul Youth Centre
A program of Southwestern Ontario Youth for Christ, Re:Soul Youth Centre is committed to providing a safe place and positive influence for teens from all walks of life. A Youth Worker in this setting will be encouraged to create and implement programing based on their God-given gifts and abilities, while considering the needs of the community youth they are serving. Relationship building abilities are key to this position. Responsibilities will include the implementation of creative programming, overseeing drop-in programs, building bridges from the youth centre to the local church, some administrative tasks and creating a support base of ministry partners who will financially support you in this ministry – one half of the salary will be provided through Southside Community Church – the remainder will need to be raised by the successful candidate through Southwestern Ontario YFC.
