St. John’s Vancouver Church is looking for a Vicar
St. John’s Vancouver Anglican Church is part of the Anglican Network of Canada (ANIC) and is the largest congregation (700+ members) of the 70+ ANIC member churches across Canada.
We are Evangelical Anglicans: biblical in conviction, pastoral in orientation and grounded in the gospel. Our vision is to be a community of contrast, gripped by the gospel of God’s grace, reaching out with the love of Christ to Vancouver and beyond. We are a multi-generational, multi-cultural church whose privilege it is to live in Vancouver BC.
The role of Vicar is a senior pastoral role, implementing the church’s vision through the staff and lay teams. The Vicar works closely with the Rector advising and helping lead the church.
The ideal candidate will have a proven godliness and a commitment to reformed evangelical Anglicanism and would be able to connect with people at different ages and stages with pastoral sensitivity and gospel clarity. Possessing multiple ministry-related gifts, the Vicar also needs strong management and people skills and the ability to bring clarity in complexity.
