Primary Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direction of service-related needs in video and media at all Tenth sites
Hours: Approximately 16-24 hours per week
Reports to: Communications Coordinator
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide oversight of video capture and video reproduction systems for all Tenth sites. Ensure equipment is in good working order.
Budget for, purchase, and maintain equipment in dialogue with the Executive Director
Liaise with Tenth technicians and Tenth staff to resolve problems or issues involving video and media technology.
Member of Communications team, seeks to further the vision and values of Tenth Church.
Coordinate video recording of the sermon each Sunday by recruiting, training and developing a volunteer team, building a culture of empowerment.
Post production–edit sermon video and post to Tenth website.
Create video and photography content–including storyboarding–as needed, such as ministry highlights, special events, sermon series buffers, regular announcements, testimonies, etc.–an amalgamation of primarily original creations/captured b-roll, and some purchased or edited clips from movies/web to be used in a variety of communications channels.
Required skills, attributes, and experience:
A servant’s heart, and passion for God, his Word, and for community worship.
Very strong training, gifting and experience in video and media technology including video capture, video editing and reproduction, and photography.
Skilled in use of cinematography and video lighting techniques, Apple Final Cut Studio, Apple Motion and/or After Effects, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or equivalent.
Familiar with video compression/conversion processes for web optimization and distribution.
Highly relational with an ability to “pull” good stories out of people and translate to compelling video content as well as for team building
Very strong administrative and logistics skills, attention to detail, organized, and strategic.
Ability to multitask and responds well to a complex and fast-paced environment.
Ability to remain humble and flexible in the creative process; willingness to sacrifice artistic ambition/vision in consideration of time restraints, clarity for all audiences, efficiency, etc.
Teachable attitude, and helpful spirit, working independently, and collaboratively.
Good communication skills, oral and written.
