A Young Church with Significant Growth Potential
Overview: Are you called to help grow a young church and reach a rapidly expanding community with
the gospel? The Neighbourhood Alliance Church (TNAC) is seeking a full-time Lead Pastor to provide
spiritual leadership, vision, and shepherding in Langdon, Alberta—just 20 km east of Calgary.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a developing, Christ-centered church within the Christan and
Missionary Alliance (Alliance Canada). TNAC is a “church in a box” however we have purchased a high
profile and sizable lot in the heart of Langdon. We are currently gathering contractor bids and plan to
break ground before year’s end. With that we trust in God and hope that are poised for significant
growth, from within the community of Langdon, and area.
We are prayerfully seeking a pastor who brings energy, perseverance, vision, and Spirit-led confidence
to guide our church into its next season of growth and community impact.
About Our Church: The Neighbourhood Alliance Church began meeting in a private home and now
gathers at the Track Golf Course Events Centre. We are entering our 14th year as a church.
Weekly attendance: ~50
Primarily young families, with a healthy mix of seniors
Recently became an organized church within Alliance Canada
Currently served by a Transitional Pastor
Preparing to build a permanent church facility in Langdon
Our ministries include:
Children’s ministry
Youth ministry in partnership with a local Baptist church
Small groups and discipleship gatherings
Men’s and women’s ministries
Ongoing community outreach events

Langdon is a fast-growing community in Rocky View County:
Population: 6,700+, expected to double in the coming years
Average age: 34.5 (many young families)
~2/3 of residents commute to Calgary
Features bigger homes and larger lot sizes than those typically found in Calgary
Despite many residents identifying as Christian, Langdon is underserved, with only three local churches—
including TNAC—creating strong ministry opportunity.

Core Responsibilities
– Provide leadership to the Elder Board in discerning God’s direction, daring to dream and
enabling the vision of the Church in the community
– Ability to preach and teach in a way that helps seekers, new believers and Christians mature in
their faith understand biblical truth and its relevance to everyday life.
– Build an empowered leadership team by leading shepherding and mentoring Elders and ministry
leaders
– Effectively help the congregation make the gospel known in the community, discipling those that
respond.
– Equipping followers of Jesus to know and use their spiritual gifts for effective biblical ministry.
– Discerning congregational needs and supporting through good counsel and practical solutions.
– Provide pastoral care in alignment with the church vision.
– Give overall leadership to Ministries, ensuring the vision, discipleship and alignment goals are
being met.
– Recruit, develop and oversee a network of spiritually gifted volunteer leaders who can help
disciple the church and community.
– Provide ministry leaders with role specific training and resources. As well, develop personal
relationships with the leaders and provide feedback and encouragement.
– Assist in planning and executing volunteer and family events
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in theology (minimum)
– Minimum 5 years of pastoral experience
– Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada before being hired
– He must be licensed with Alliance Canada, or willing to pursue ordination with the denomination
– Fluent in English (spoken and written)
– Applicant and their family must be willing to reside in Langdon, Alberta
Preference given to candidates with a supportive spouse willing to engage in the Langdon community.
Position Type: Fulltime with salary with benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications in
accordance with the Western District of the Alliance Canada 2026 Compensation Guide.
