About Us:
The Vancouver Helpers is dedicated to ensuring that all students in Vancouver and southern BC receive the academic support they need to become fearless learners. We offer free online tutoring and language sessions for elementary, junior high school, and high school students.The Vancouver Helpers is a youth run organization and we are looking for individuals under 30 to apply for this position. The Vancouver Helpers is run in partnership with Little Things Count and Red Fox Healthy Living Society.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and reliable individual to serve as the Program Coordinator at The Vancouver Helpers. This role is central to the smooth operation of our tutoring program, ensuring that tutors are scheduled each week, managing communication between parents and students, and making recommendations to improve the program based on feedback. As The Vancouver Helpers is a youth run organization and we are looking for youth leaders to apply for this position.
Responsibilities:
Ensure Tutors are Scheduled:
Coordinate with tutors each week to ensure they are assigned and confirmed for their tutoring sessions. Ensure that all sessions are properly scheduled and that tutors have the necessary materials and information to support students.
Manage Parent and Student Requests:
Serve as the main point of contact for parents and students, addressing any questions, concerns, or special requests. Ensure that all communication is timely and that student needs are met promptly.
Provide Program Feedback and Suggestions:
Gather and analyze feedback from parents, students, and tutors to suggest improvements or adjustments to the tutoring program. Proactively make recommendations for program enhancements based on this feedback to better serve students.
Role Requirements:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage requests and resolve issues effectively.
Experience in customer service or program management is a plus but not required.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
A proactive mindset with a focus on improving processes and programs based on feedback.
A commitment to helping students and ensuring they receive the support they need.

Position Type: Virtual
