About Us:
The Vancouver Helpers is dedicated to ensuring that all students in Vancouver and southern BC receive the academic support they need to become fearless learners. We offer free online tutoring and language sessions for elementary, junior high school, and high school students. The Vancouver Helpers is a youth run organization and we are looking for individuals under 30 to apply for this position. The Vancouver Helpers is run in partnership with Little Things Count and Red Fox Healthy Living Society.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy individual to serve as the Website and Platform Manager at The Vancouver Helpers. The Website and Platform Manager will play a critical role in managing the organization’s online presence and ensuring the smooth operation of our digital platforms. This role will focus on adding tutors to our platform, maintaining and updating our website, and optimizing our search engine presence to ensure maximum visibility and engagement.
Responsibilities:
Add Tutors to Platform:
Ensure that new tutors are added to the platform each week, maintaining an up-to-date roster of qualified and available tutors for students.
Website Maintenance and Updates:
Regularly update and maintain the website to ensure it is functioning smoothly, including adding new content, ensuring all links and features are working, and making necessary technical improvements.
SEO and Organic Search Optimization:
Manage and optimize the website’s SEO to ensure that it ranks well in search engines, increasing organic traffic and improving the visibility of The Vancouver Helpers to potential students, tutors, and donors.
Role Requirements:
Experience in website management, including content updates and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of SEO practices and experience in optimizing website performance for search engines is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
