About Us:
The Vancouver Helpers is dedicated to ensuring that all students in Vancouver and southern BC receive the academic support they need to become fearless learners. We offer free online tutoring and language sessions for elementary, junior high school, and high school students.The Vancouver Helpers is a youth run organization and we are looking for individuals under 30 to apply for this position. The Vancouver Helpers is run in partnership with Little Things Count and Red Fox Healthy Living Society.
Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our team as the Director of Outreach and Partnerships. The Director of Outreach and Partnerships will be responsible for expanding our outreach efforts, increasing brand awareness, and connecting with local organizations and communities. This volunteer role involves outreach communication, event planning, and promoting local initiatives that benefit students.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Communication:
The Outreach Coordinator will research and contact relevant organizations via email to recruit executive team members, volunteers, and students.
Increasing Brand Awareness:
The Coordinator will organize and support in-person events to improve brand awareness, working closely with the local executive team to execute these initiatives.
Local Initiatives:
Through outreach efforts, the Coordinator will gain insight into local initiatives that may benefit students and relay this information to the executive team for inclusion in newsletters or blog posts.
Role Requirements:
Strong written communication and professionalism.
Ability to organize and support in-person events.
Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
Organized and able to manage outreach emails and responses effectively.
Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team with other volunteers.
Interest in marketing, communications, or outreach is a plus but not required.

Position Type: Virtual
