If yes, we are looking for a Shift Supervisor – Outreach Worker, who is responsible for assisting the Hastings Chaplaincy Supervisor. Duties include: developing a healthy culture within the branch, offering vision for the ministry programs, and providing spiritual leadership for all outreach and ministry support workers at the Hastings Facility. In addition, this position assists in the operation of the Cornerstone center, including supervision of guests, staffing, volunteer relations, training, record keeping and problem solving for the fostering of effective team relationships.
You will have 3-4 years of related work experience with a knowledge of issues related to poverty, homelessness, addiction, and mental health, and will have related post-secondary education (consideration may be given to alternate combinations of lived experience and education). If you possess a valid Class 5 drivers’ license, have experience in developing and implementing outreach strategies to marginalized people, as well as experience program planning, evaluation, organizational skills, then this position might be the right fit for you.
You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
This is a permanent, full-time position. The weekly schedule is: Sunday, 6am-2pm; Monday, 2-10pm; Tuesday & Wednesday, 1-9pm; and Saturday, 6am-2pm. For a copy of the full job description, please visit our website.
