Do you love diversity and the idea of working with and serving a full range of people from varied backgrounds? Does the work you do have to have purpose and positively impact the lives of the community? Would you love to use your well-developed social skills and strong physical ability to help grow an enterprise that supports and helps raise up a community that is often marginalized? If so we would love to have you join our incredible team of like-minded staff, interns and volunteers that receive, sort and distribute donations of clothing and household items from individuals and businesses for sale in our social enterprises including our Vancouver Thrift Store. You’d also be responsible to maintain a high level of safety and participate in the recycling programs set up by UGM.
Because of the nature of the work we do you will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
The start wage for this position is $19.50 per hour.
This is a permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) position. For a copy of the full job description, please visit our website.
