Reporting to the Families Coordinator, this part-time position is responsible for assisting members of the Families Ministry team in carrying out programs, activities, and events that occur during the spring and summer. The primary responsibility involves providing administrative support for the Camp Partnership Program. As UGM does not operate or own a camp facility, this position’s responsibilities include all of the logistics of getting children, youth, and families to camp who would not be able to go on their own without financial assistance and/or subsidies. The person in this position will assist with the registration of campers, to the pricing and purchasing of camp necessities. If time permits, staff support for other Family Ministry programs such as the Afterschool Program, Summer Day Camps, Teen Programs, and other special events may be required.
At times you will come into contact with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be Outreach Workers and other Programs staff nearby to assist as required.

This is a ministry position and a personal knowledge and experience of the saving work of Jesus Christ is a prerequisite. Strong interpersonal skills and intermediate computer skills are required, along with experience with working in a multi-ethnic and socially diverse context. Two-three years of related work or volunteer experience is required, specifically working with elementary age kids and youth in a recreational/educational setting. A valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence is an asset. Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is preferred.
This position will have unsupervised access to vulnerable adults or children. Therefore, the successful candidate must provide a current criminal record check that includes a vulnerable sector search as a condition of employment.
It is preferred that the incumbent of this position is able drive a UGM vehicle. Therefore, the successful candidate must submit a current driver’s abstract.
