Do you enjoy building relationships and fostering community? Do you have experience working in a faith-based, not-for-profit environment? We are looking for a committed Christian to hang out with the men in our recovery program three evenings a week and on the weekend. You will be a friendly, supportive and encouraging presence, seeking opportunities to speak with the men about various aspects of a recovery lifestyle and spiritual issues, and praying with them when that seems appropriate. Sometimes you will need to respond to unusual situations or crises, such as substance use or resident conflict, in a calm and level-headed manner. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
