This position has three primary components: 1. Assisting the manager as branch administrator, 2. Overseeing the child care licensing, 3. Supervising the Eastsider program. As administrator, you will assist the manager in all aspects of the daily functioning of Women & Families Outreach, which including scheduling, submitting timelogs, HR assistance, and other requirements. You will facilitate excellent communication within the centre, other parts of the organization, and outside agencies. Also, as UGM’s child care licensing expert, you will coordinate, implement, and ensure compliance with three child care licenses, and contribute actively to all current and future child care programming, building connections with other DTES child care centres to better serve marginalized parents and their children. As Eastsider supervisor, you will oversee the program, including in its transitional location, providing vision and leadership to staff, as well as recruiting and supporting their professional development. As a spiritual leader, you will be a role model for your team, and strive to enhance client care and services that are consistent with UGM’s Vision and Core values.
You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be Outreach Workers and other Programs staff nearby to assist as required.

We are looking for a Christian individual who is passionate about providing excellent administrative support to the outreach and child care areas of the Women & Families Centre. To be successful in this role, supervisory experience is required, preferably in a licenced child care facility, as well as experience working in a multi-ethnic and socially diverse context. Related post-secondary education and/or School Age Certificate or equivalency is also required (an ECE license is an asset). The ideal candidate will have advanced computer and organizational skills (experience in corporate administrative environments is an asset) and exceptional customer/client relational skills. A valid Class 5 driver’s license is also required.
This position will have unsupervised access to vulnerable adults or children. Therefore, the successful candidate must provide a current criminal record check that includes a vulnerable sector search as a condition of employment.
This position requires the incumbent to drive a UGM vehicle. Therefore, the successful candidate must submit a current driver’s abstract.
