Are you adaptable, client-centered, collaborative, and service-oriented? Then we may have an opportunity for you. We are looking for an Outreach Worker on our Hastings Chaplaincy and Outreach team. This position involves ministering to the men and women living in the neighbourhood of the Hastings facility. The job may include making referrals for housing, clothing, shelter, recovery and a wide variety of other duties as needed by the individuals we serve. The work will be based out of the Hastings facility; from time to time the Outreach Worker will assist Outreach at other locations.
You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
This is a permanent, full-time position. This position has two fixed shifts per week: on Saturdays and Sundays, from 6am to 2pm; and has 3 weekly shifts scheduled sometime between 6am and 12pm, Monday-Friday, depending on our needs. For a copy of the full job description, please visit our website.
