Reporting to the Manager, Women’s Recovery & Housing, the Administrator supports the manager, supervisors and staff of the Women and Families team with regards to various and varied administrative and clerical duties in order that both staff and guests are well-served in a timely, proficient and grace-filled manner. This position also facilitates excellent communication within the Women and Families Centre, as well as to other parts of the organization and outside agencies. The role includes some Human Resources functions on behalf of the Women and Families team as well as supervision of some on-call Ministry Support Workers and practicum students.

We are looking for a Christian individual, mature in faith and character with several years of administrative experience, preferably in a corporate environment. This role requires advanced computer skills (Excel, Word and Outlook), demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and good judgement. As this role involves supervision of front-line staff, supervisory experience, as well as experience working within the Downtown Eastside community are significant assets.
The Administrator may unsupervised access to vulnerable adults or children. Therefore, the successful candidate will be asked to provide a current criminal record check that includes a vulnerable sector search as a condition of employment.

At times you will come into contact with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be Outreach Workers and other Programs staff nearby to assist as required.
