In this position you will be responsible for assisting in the care of women, with or without babies, who enter the Sanctuary Stabilization Program by ensuring they have a safe and clean place to find direction and assistance. You may be making referrals; organizing and participating in program activities with residents; driving and accompanying residents to appointments and/or meetings; and providing care for infants when asked. As a ministry position, you will have opportunity to pray and provide spiritual support to residents. If you have a strong relationship with Jesus, related work or volunteer experience, can successfully set healthy boundaries with demanding individuals, and possess a class 5 driver’s license, this might be a great opportunity for you.
You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
There is a permanent, full-time position and a temporary (year-and-a-half), full-time position available. Both work a rotating shift pattern of four-on and four-off. The first two shifts in the rotation are 7am-7pm, and the last two shifts are from 7pm-7am. The starting wage for these positions is $22.32 per hour.
