JOB DESCRIPTION: Associate Campus Minister The role of the associate campus minister would be to support the director in establishing a missional and discipling community on the university campus; providing pastoral care to students; encouraging growth and maturity in discipleship to Jesus; participating in effective outreach and service to the campus; contributing to community building events; and developing new initiatives as needed.
Worship Ministry (40% full-time or 50% part-time): Oversee weekly student-led worship & prayer ministry at Thursday Night gathering, coordinate and organize transportation of sound equipment and set-up
Leadership Development (40% full-time or 30% part-time): Lead and train small group bible study leaders, Prepare curriculum for semester-long studies and training
Pastoral Care (20% full-time or 20% part-time): Attend weekly staff meeting, Mentor and coach student leaders, Provide pastoral care for university students in the ministry
QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal candidate would have: • Theological training • Worship Ministry experience • University/college degree or familiarity with campus ministry
COMPENSATION: Hours: Full-time (40 hrs/wk) or Part-time (20 hrs/wk)
Salary: As a campus missionary, your salary would be raised through personal fundraising. UCM will provide fundraising training and has a track record of long-term success for its employees’ funding. An approved budget (like a teacher’s salary grid) will be determined annually. Currently a fund is being developed for this position and supplemental salary support will be provided during the fundraising period.
