Director of Family Ministries Part Time NEW
West Point Grey Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Director of Family Ministries to minister to young families and their children, from expectant parents through Grade 7, and to help parents lead their children spiritually. You will establish and provide oversight for our children’s ministries, build and equip a team of volunteers, and lead outreach into our community as part of our Pastoral Team.

What You’ll Do
- Equip and encourage parents as the primary disciplers of their children.
- Establish and oversee children’s ministries, recruiting and equipping volunteer teachers and assistants.
- Integrate children into the life of the wider church, fostering an “extended family” where every age is valued.
- Lead outreach into the community, modelling a missional lifestyle.
- Develop curriculum, manage budget, and preach occasionally.
What We’re Looking For
- A person of solid Christian faith, with strong cultural intelligence and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Familiarity with the Godly Play and/or God’s Big Story curriculum.
- A gifted teacher, communicator, and team leader who connects well across cultures and generations.
- Theological degree preferred; other qualifications and training will be considered.
Position Details
- Part-time: 20 hours per week
- Compensation: $25 – $36 per hour based on experience and qualifications
- Benefits: Extended health, pension, and professional development
- Reports to Lead Pastor
