Communications Director – West Point Grey Baptist Church (June 8, 2021)
The Communications Director is responsible for managing and directing the church’s internal and external communications. This role creates communication strategies to facilitate ministry, manages the online presence of the organization, and serves as a hub for communication related to the use of our facility.
Manage the website and social media presence of our church.
Assists with the broadcast of live streaming events (including Sundays)
Facilitates opportunities for ministries to make use of online platforms.
Oversee the communication plan for ministries and church wide announcements (verbal and video).
Helps communicate the vision and mission of the church through all creative media tools to both internal and external groups.
Coordinates with the pastoral staff the use of media at all church wide gatherings.
Facility Use Coordination:
Oversee the use of the church facility with both internal and external groups.
Ensures contracts with external groups are managed within the policy guidelines of the church.
Coordinates with contracted persons who facilitate weddings and funerals
Coordinates with facility maintenance volunteers basic upgrades and repairs within the scope of the normal operations of the physical site.
This is a full time position (40 hours a week). The Communications Director reports to the Senior Pastor. Pay range is between $24 to $26 an hour with benefits (health & pension after one year).
